The required step size for the number of points or miles transferred to a partner program.

Illustrative example

Illustrative example: while topping up miles for a Minneapolis (MSP) to Paris (CDG) award, a traveler sees a 1,000-point minimum and 500-point increments. Amounts such as 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 fit those example conditions; 1,200 does not.
